In November 2001 "Outside the Box" was nominated in four categories in the Just Plain folks Music Awards.
She won first, second, and third for the following:
"Don't give up" placed third place for best singer song writer song.
The CD "Outside the Box" placed 2cd for best Female Singer Songwriter CD!
and the song "New Grass" won best instrumental song.
